In the Stafford area so taking advantage of that, along went my binoculars. Regular sightings of raven, soaring high in the sky - and I just love their call as well. Most birds seen at one time was three, although could only capture two in the frame. Several goosander sightings (most seen - 6 in flight) including a feeding female on the River Sow.
Two separate sightings of a pergerine falcon in flight, both about 30 seconds each as it flew across a lovely clear blue sky. Too quick to get a photograph though.
A single snipe flushed from a wet meadow. Other bids included; grey wagtail, kingfisher, goldfinch (flock of c.25 birds), lesser black-backed gull (c.9 in flight).
